1961 Post American Gallery
In 1961 Post Cereals began a large campaign to promote their cereals by including cut-out baseball cards on the backs of cereal boxes. Unlike the campaign in 1960 with the full panel cards, there were a more traditional size of 2.5 in x 3.5 in with players photos and stats on the front and nothing on the back. Modern collectors enjoy collecting Post cereal cards because of the smaller set size of 200 and the affordable stars such as Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Ed Mathews and many more. Probably the hardest card to find in this set is the Chuck Estrada card # 73. As cereal brands were discontinued or player inclusions were in doubt, some cards became very scarce to find.
